The car fuel gauge can display the fuel value, fuel consumption and storage in the car fuel tank in real time.
If the fuel gauge fails, there are the following reasons and determination methods:
1. The problem of the oil meter itself.
The oil gauge does not move or is inaccurate due to the failure of the oil gauge itself.
Judgment method: The pointer of the fuel gauge still does not deviate when the ignition switch is turned on for about half a minute, or the pointer swings randomly and the measurement of the fuel gauge pointer is inaccurate.
2. Sensor failure.
A faulty sensor is causing the oil gauge to not move.
Judgment method: The multimeter pen is clamped to the two wiring posts of the fuel sensor variable resistor, and the R×1Ω block detects the resistance value of the variable resistor. If the display does not conform to the standard, the sensor is faulty.
3. The instrument coil is short-circuited.
A short circuit in the instrument coil causes the oil gauge to malfunction.
Judgment method: use a multimeter to measure the voltage.
