Ammeter is a diagnostic instrument for judging power circuit faults
For a power supply circuit with normal technical status, when the engine is turned off, the pointer of the ammeter should be at the "0" position. When starting the engine, since the starter consumes current, a large discharge current passes through the ammeter. At this time, the pointer of the ammeter It should be moved from the position of "0" to the discharge side of "-", and the current value should be larger. When the engine starts and the generator enters the normal power generation state, it will charge the battery. At the beginning, due to the large charging current passing through the ammeter, the pointer of the ammeter will rapidly move from the larger position on the discharge side of the "-" to the "+" The higher current position on the charging side moves. As the charging time increases, the voltage of the battery will gradually increase, the charging current will gradually decrease, and the ammeter pointer will gradually move from the larger position on the "+" charging side to the position close to "0".
Note: Does not include wires. Like sensor of the water temp meter, oil temp meter, oil press meter and fuel level meter need to be grounded. Otherwise, the meter cannot get the signal. (The sensor needs to be grounded!!! important!!)
